A PCB (printed circuit board) or PC board is a piece
of phenolic or glass-epoxy board with
copper clad on one or both sides. The portions of copper
that aren't needed are etched off, leaving "printed"
circuits which connect the components.
PCB is used to
mechanically support and electrically connect electronic
components using conductive pathways, or traces, etched from
copper sheets laminated onto a non-conductive substrate.
